The best cleaning business marketing focuses on one thing: turning first-time customers into recurring clients. A biweekly client is worth many one-off deep cleans, refers neighbors and fills your schedule predictably. Online, that means clear prices, easy booking, lots of recent reviews and a referral habit.
What customers look for
Jobber's 2026 Home Service Trends Report found that when choosing a provider, customers weigh price (62%), reviews (51%) and response speed (25%). During the job, workmanship quality (69%) matters most, followed by clear communication and professional crew behavior.
Referrals and repeat customers are the top lead source for home service businesses (59%), with Facebook second at 32%.
1. Lead with your recurring offer
Make recurring service the obvious choice on your website:
- Show weekly, biweekly and monthly prices alongside one-time and deep clean prices.
- Price recurring visits lower per clean; the predictability is worth it to you.
- Offer an easy first step: a first deep clean that rolls into a recurring schedule.
2. Show prices, or a quick way to get one
Most people won't call for a cleaning quote. Give them:
- Starting prices by home size and service type, or
- A quote calculator that asks bedrooms, bathrooms, frequency and extras, and shows a price range instantly, or
- Online booking for standard cleans.
Our guide to showing prices on your website covers how to do this without boxing yourself in, and online booking explains when booking works best.
3. Build trust fast
Clients are letting you into their home. Show:
- Background checks, insurance and bonding.
- Your satisfaction guarantee ("If anything's missed, we'll come back within 24 hours").
- Real photos of your team, not stock images.
- What's included in each type of clean, as a checklist.
4. Collect reviews from every new client
Reviews decide whether people book, and BrightLocal's 2026 survey found most consumers only trust recent ones. Ask after the first and third cleans, when the difference is fresh. Our guide on getting more Google reviews has the exact routine and what to say.
5. Make referrals effortless
Cleaning clients talk to neighbors, friends and coworkers. Ask happy recurring clients directly, give them a simple link or card to share, and thank them for referrals (within the rules: incentives for referrals are fine, incentives for reviews are not).
6. Use local Facebook carefully
Before-and-after photos and short videos of real cleans do well in local groups and as targeted ads. Our guide to Facebook marketing for home service businesses covers what works.
7. Convert one-time cleans into regulars
After a one-time or move-out clean, follow up within a day: thank them, ask how it went and offer the recurring schedule at a first-month rate. Many of your best regulars will start this way.
